CCDXC Summer Sprint Rules

  
A plaque will be awarded to the top scoring individual in each of the categories described below. Rules and information are as follows:
 

  1. Contest Period - June 1 (0000Z) to August 31 (2359Z). (Compete for the 3 month period.)
  2. Bands - 160 meters to 6 meters
  3. Modes - CW (can use digital), SSB, and Mixed (no more than 80% of one mode)
  4. Categories* - High Power (101 watts to 1.5 KW) and Low Power (100 watts or less)
  5. *If you win a category one year, you can not enter that category the next year, except for the low power category.

  6. Multipliers - DXCC Entities as currently listed on the ARRL DXCC List.
  7. Objective - Work as many DXCC entities during the contest period using bands listed above and selected mode.
  8. Score - Total number of different DXCC entities worked.
  9. Plaques - Top score for:
    • A) CW/Digital
    • B) SSB
    • C) Mixed
    • D) Low Power (independent of mode)

  10. Summary Forms:
    • Your Summary Form (Log) must contain: Call Sign, Day/Month/Year of QSO, Band, Mode, and name of Entity.

    • There are several ways to create a Summary Form:
      • Type all QSO information into a text editor (such as Notepad) and save the file as a text document. (i.e. "YOURCALL.txt")
      • If you use logging software, export your June-July-August log to an ADIF file, then copy and paste the information into a text editor. Save the file as above.
      • Create a paper log. Print the text file from above. (Typewritten or handwritten logs are also acceptable.)
    • Submit your Summary Form either by email file attachment to the email address below, or mail the paper hard copy to the postal address below.

ALL logs — whether electronic or paper — must be submitted to WA5VGI within 20 days of the close of the contest (September 20)! If you have any questions, please contact Bill, either by e-mail or telephone.
