*** 75M DX net Suspended ***

At the January, 2010 meeting, after noting no net activity for the past year, members voted to discontue the Wednesday evening 75M net. Until such time when a club member volunteers to reorganize and enlist participation, the net will remain suspended.

Upcoming Meetings & Events:

August Meeting

Our next regular club meeting will be December 4 at Apple Annie's in Tulare. Most members arrive around 11:00 AM and order their lunch. The program — TBD — follows the meal. As usual there will be plenty of time for eyeball QSOs. Also, we will need to be thinking about the placement of new officers for next year.

Announcements:

	DX'er of the Year	Congratulations to John Temple, WA6YEE, on being named CCDXC DX’er of the Year for 2009. John was first licensed in 1962 as WV6YEE. To get started he built his first transmitter from an old TV set and bought a used HQ-129X for a receiver. He became seriously interested in chasing DX around 1997, and has been at it ever since. The main award he is chasing is the DXCC Challenge, and has just passed the 2000 mark confirmed. John has kept busy during the bottom of the sunspot cycle working 160 M where he has 150 confirmed. John also keeps busy installing towers (4 so far) and hombrewing antennas, the latest project being a 3-element 30 M, coil-loaded Yagi. John says, "I am very honored to have been chosen dxer of the year. It came as quite a surprise to me, and recognition of my efforts here on the mountain top means a lot to me.
