So whether you are a seasoned or beginning DX-er, or perhaps simply curious about this exciting world of DX, this site is just for you! Here you will find an amazing wealth of resources. We're betting you will find at least one new idea that will give you that "slight edge" as you continue your quest — working DX! So, feel free to poke around. Enjoy your visit. Mission and PurposeThe Central California DX Club, Inc., was organized August 2, 1981, and is composed of Amateurs from Mariposa to Kern Counties and from the Central California Coast who are interested in DX. The club meets 4 to 5 times per year in the Visalia-Tulare area, at lunchtime for travel reasons. The club has a net on Wednesdays at 08:00 PM on 3.760 mHz. (*Please see Current Information about 75M Net.) All Amateurs are invited to join the net. The emphasis is on DX. Long time members will remember when this net was held on a club-owned repeater on 147.09+ mHZ, located on McKittrick mountain. Because of marginal coverage for some members, the net was moved to 75 M, but the club continued to operate the repeater. Finally, after high winds destroyed the repeater antennas in the spring of 2009, the club decided to discontinue repeater operation and to relinquish the frequency pair. The club sponsors two plaques in the ARRL International DX Contest. The club publishes a newsletter, QUA DX, 5 times per year and publishes a weekly email version of QUA DX. The paper bulletin appears prior to the meetings. The club has 3 club call signs, W6MEL, W6YK and W6YO, all three holders of these calls were prominent members of the CCDXC before becoming Silent Keys.
The club has a Summer DX Super Sprint, which runs from June 1 to August 31 each year. Rules are printed in QUA DX, and here:
